Hatha Yoga - Sun Practice
Sun practices allow us to builds vitality, enthusiasm, power, expansiveness and subtle awareness. With this intention, we use asana, breath, and bandha to methodically make the whole of our practice more truly “energetic” and at the same time, expanding its reach, helping us tap into limitless potential. Solar energy leads to shining, both internally and externally and is the foundation for the final and most powerful stage of practice.
In Hatha Yoga tradition, a Sun or Solar sequence refers to the approach that emphasizes the connection to prana or life force. You will also learn the relationship between Prana (life force) and Nadi (energy channels). Using the method of Prana Yoga, you will activate the solar force by connecting to Prana Shakti and cultivate more energy and strength using Asana, Pranayama, Bandha, Mudra, and Meditation. It increases your vitality, enthusiasm, power, expansiveness and subtle awareness.
Solar energy leads to shining, both internally and externally and is the foundation for the final and most powerful stage of practice. The focus of the practice will be the heart, middle & upper back, shoulders, and heart chakra. This practice will give you energy and will help control weight and depression.
